The Skills Development Ministry has updated the Apprenticeship Rules of 1992. Stipends will increase to ₹12,300 monthly. Degree apprenticeships and virtual training are promoted. Regional boards will expand, industries will have wider coverage, and inclusivity for persons with disabilities is ensured. Establishments must engage apprentices between 2.5% to 15% of their total staff.
