India’s global capability centres, or GCCs, are projected to add 1–1.4 million net jobs by 2031. The employment in these centres is anticipated to grow to 3.3–3.7 million, significantly increasing office space demand. While AI is expected to reshape workforce composition, it will coexist with job growth and office space requirements. Existing centres will account for most workforce additions, with new GCC setups primarily located in tier-1 cities.
