India’s female labour market may be on the cusp of a structural upgrade, with education, household agency and social mobility driving a gradual shift from casual to regular wage employment, a research report by SBI Research showed. The trend points to a more resilient workforce in the coming years, even as disparities across education levels, geography and social groups persist.
